Mangalore: Pompeii College Aikala: NSS Activities Innagurated

Kinnigoli, Aug 1 : National Service Scheme (NSS) activities of Aikala Pompeii College unit for the academic year 2008-09 were innagurated herein recently.

Yogish Kotian, Aikala gram panchayat president, inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. In his message, he recalled the days when he was a student of this college and he advised the students to serve the college and the society with love, civic sense and  by imparting  social awareness to the students and the people in general.


 
Prof Patrick Rodrigues, principal of the college  congratulated the NSS unit and wished that the unit will be able to hold many more activiities during this academic year. NSS programe officer Dr Radhakrishna Bhat  introduced the objectives of NSS. Assistant programme officer Prof Gunakar was present on this occassion.

NSS unit student leader Sharanya welcomed the gathering. Levin proposed vote of thanks. Joel compered the programme.
