Kundapur, Jul 27: Industrialist and social worker Samuel Prabhaker Tholar, was warmly felicitated by the people of  Kundapur on the occasion of his ninetieth birthday on Friday, July 25.

The event was held at Bhandarkar’s College and K K Pai, chairman, Manipal academy of general education, felicitated the Tholar couple on behalf of the gathering. Dr  Shantharam, administrator, Manipal academy of general education, was also present on the occasion.

S Narayana Rao, principal of the College, welcomed the gathering while Rajendra gave the vote of thanks. Rekha Bannadi conducted the programme.

    Many Many Happy returns of the day uncle prabhakar. when i was working in Kundapura In 1976 to 1978 I was staying Birtha Salins house. Aunty and Shobha knows me.

    When we were going to college Prabhaker Tholar's name was very famous not because he was rich but because of his principles, descipline, humbleness and honesty. Though he was a industrialist, he was a human first. He has carried out many things for the betterment of the society. I wish him all the best and pray for him to hit the century.
