Mangalore, Jul 25: In all probability, Mangalore sub-divisional officer Sameer Shukla will take over as the city corporation commissioner from the present incumbent J R Lobo.
It is learnt that the district-in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar is insisting on having an IAS grade officer to the post of the city corporation commissioner and that he has cleared the name of Shukla for the post. Orders are expected to be passed shortly and he might take over charge next week.
J R Lobo, deputy director of KUDCEMP and director of Pilikula Nisargadhama, is holding additional charge of city corporation commissioner.
