Mangalore: Sessions Court Grants Bail to MSEZ COO A G Pai

Mangalore, Jul 25: The district sessions court has granted bail to A G Pai, Chief Operating Officer of Mangalore Special Economic Zone (MSEZ) on Thursday July 24 with regard to an assault case.

 A certain Krishnappa had lodged complaint against him at Urva police station on July 21, alleging that the MSEZ COO had made caste slur during a discussion over land acquisition issue. Krishnappa had lodged a case under SC/ST Atrocities Act.

However, A G Pai denied the allegations done by Krishnappa. Meanwhile, MSEZ officers Raghavendra Holla, Santosh Kumar and others who were on duty also said that the allegations done by Krishnappa were baseless and not true

A G Pai alleged that the case had been filed against him as a measure of revenge, since had earlier lodged a case against Krishnappa and others in Bajpe police station.
