Mangalore: Accident near Haleangadi, Biker Loses Life

Mangalore, Jul 25: After a ore truck hit him at Haleangadi near here on the national highway 17 on the evening of Thursday July 24, a bike rider died on the spot.  Another truck which was returning after unloading iron ore in the city too tumbled by the roadside immediately.

The deceased has been identified as B Harish Achar (42) working as a mechanic in Karntaka State Road Transport Corporation, a resident of Katipalla near Suratkal. He was moving towards Haleangadi from Mulki when an unloaded ore truck coming from the opposite side hit him. Pillion rider Ravindra Achar escaped with minor injuries.
