Puttur: Student Union of St Philomena College Inaugurated

Puttur, Jul 24:
The students union of St Philomena College was recently inaugurated at a function held in the college auditorium. 
 
Prof Balakrishna Shetty, principal of Sri Durgaparameshwari college, Kateel, in his inaugural address, said that determination was the key to overcoming failure and becoming successful in life. 
 
Fr F X Gomes, college principal, presided over the programme. Fr Ivan Michael Rodrigues administered the oath to student leaders. The president of the parents-teachers association, Prasanna Kumar Rai, and student union president Fazlul Rahim, congratulated the office-bearers. 
 
Union directors Chandrashekar K and Gracia Rodrigues, were also present. Student union president U T Tanweer, welcomed the gathering.  Jeevan Fernandes introduced the guests while joint secretary Dana M A Rodrigues, proposed vote of thanks.
