Udupi: Felicitation to Prabhakara Tholar on 90th Birthday

Udupi, Jul 24: Prabhakara Tholar, long standing industrialist, founder member and the chairman, Bhandarkar’s College Trust, will be honoured and felicitated by his admirers on Friday, July 25, on his 90th birthday.

The event is to be held at the R N Shetty Hall of the college at 10 am. K K Pai, chancellor, Manipal Academy, will grace the occasion. Dr Lucas Vallath Ranvth, joint director of shipping, Government of India, and Dr S Ramananda Shetty, chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi Science University of Health Science, Bangalore, would be the chief guests.

Dr H Shantharam, administrator, academy of general education, Manipal, will give the introductory speech. Tholar’s admirers who want to garland him on the occasion are advised to inform the receptionist of Sharon Hotel or the college office on Thursday, July 24, before 5 pm.
