Louis Vuitton eyes investing over Rs 3,000 cr in Patanjali

New Delhi, Jan 11 (Zee News): French luxury group LVMH Moet Hennessy - Louis Vuitton, also known as Louis Vuitton or LVMH, is willing to invest a mammoth 500 million USD (Rs 3250 crore) in Patanjali Ayurveda.

Patanjali spokesperson SK Gupta Tijarawala conveyed the information on Twitter on Thursday, and added, "Acharya Balkrishna (MD of Patanjali) has said that just as we use foreign technology for our development, we do not hesitate to use foreign funds for the benefit of our country, but we will take it on our own terms.will not give share/stake."

In the news clipping attached in the tweet, Balakrishna is quoted as saying that the company needs "Rs 5000 crore to set up plants in Nagpur, Greater Noida, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Haryana and Rajasthan and for the cultivation of aromatic and herbal plants on 10,100 acres".

Riding high on the popularity of desi products, Yoga guru Ramdev had earlier said that by 2018-19, Patanjali, will overtake Unilever and others and by 2020-21 Patanjali would become the world`s largest his fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brand.

The yoga guru, who along with his associate Acharya Balkrishna, has created the massive FMCG group Patanjali within a short span of time, outlined his future plans, while indicating that his group would soon start selling jeans, trousers, kurtas, shirts, suitings, sportswear and yoga wear.

    How to sell a nation

    1. give free land to baba ramdev ..10000 of acres in various states in the name of ayurveda

    2. Since yoga and ayurveda is tax free .. take party fund from him and use him to your benefit

3.plant faux stories on nestle and other brands and take over the market share using your fake products

    4. allow FDI ...so a company like LV will invest and slowly buy out all shares and will get land worth multi crore which the govt had given to patanjali free ...and change the brand name after a few years and buy our nation

Bhakts : Modi Modi Modi ...patanjali became LV

same will happen with Air India .. which has assets worth few lakh crores and if you allow 49% stake through FDI ... it wont be long when the Foreign investor will take over all the assets and will sell assets to recover his investments ...

We Should be proud of Pathanjali !!
we all know how hard it is to compete the international brands.
When we by Colgate or Pepsi, part of our money is wired instantly in Dollars and Euros to foreign countries.
Kudos to Baba Ramdev for effectively marketing Patanjali products !!

Ramdev had been shouting from the top of his voice many times that foreign investors take the profit outside the country. Then how he is agreeing now on the issue that he was against ?

There is no free meal in this world. Naturally, no one will invest without the profit motive. Now Ramdev's thinking is changed, when it is convenient to him. Same like he was talking about black money is Swiss during election, but, now he is silent.

This is open hypocrisy by the 'Desi product selling' Baba Ramdev. If foreign collaboration was not a problem, what was wrong with Colgate, Lux, Nesle ? Why did he drive out those companies and supply shuddh desi dantkanti, soap and noodles ?

Bringing in black money is forgotten, now Baba Ramdev will forget 'videshi bhagao, Desi apnao' slogan too ?
