Mumbai-Bengaluru IndiGo flight does emergency landing after engine failure

Mumbai, Dec 10: A Mumbai to Bengaluru IndiGo flight (6E 565), returned to Mumbai shortly after take-off on Tuesday night, after the pilots noticed engine failure and declared emergency.

The late night flight had around 180 passengers on board. The flight landed safely in Mumbai and the technical glitch was fixed within 10 minutes.

The plane took off again and landed around 2.03 am in Bengaluru on Wednesday, according to tracking portal flightradar24.com

IndiGo 6E 565 usually flies between Mumbai and Bengaluru. It usually takes off at around 10:30 pm and lands in Bengaluru just after midnight.
