M'lore: Konkani Prachar Sanchalan to Observe 'Manyata Diwas'

Mangalore, Jul 22: Konkani Prachar Sanchalan, Kalaangann, Shaktinagar, has informed through a release, that it will be organizing various competitions in Konkani language in connection with the observation of the 16th Konkani Manyata Diwas (Konkani Recognition Day).

Competitions:

1. For students studying from first to fourth standards (separate for each class) – 2 pm onwards on August 22
                        i. Singing (individual)
                        ii. Story telling.

2. For students studying in fifth to seventh standards (separate for each class) – 2 pm onwards on  August 23
                        i.    Singing (individual)
                        ii. Dance (couple – can be boy/boy, girl/girl or girl/boy)

3. For students studying from eighth to tenth standard (separate for each class) – 2 pm onwards on August 24
                       i. Singing (individual)
                       ii. Dance (couple – can be boy/boy, girl/girl or boy/girl)

Attractive prizes will be given to the contestants who stand first, second and third in each competition. Top three schools which get highest scores will also be rewarded with shields.

Prize distribution function will be held at the Konkani Manyata Diwas observation function to be held at Kalaangann on Sunday August 24. Last date for registration of names will be August 20.
