I agree with the comments by Shri Balakrishna Shetty that KIADB is epicentre of corruption. To see their functioning just pay a visit to their office situated on Nrapathunga Road, opp: RBI in Bangalore. You will see lot of faces you see that are involved in various anti- people projects in our twin districts- will be seen there.

There are various stages in striking deal there. Petty deals are done at a nearby Darshini hotel and big deals are in cabins. Sitting in their office on Nrapathunga Road Bangalore they decide the fate of farmers, they convert fertile lands into barren lands and do many other magics. If you have time go to their office complex and just see for your self! You will smell the rat but may not be able to grasp the rot!

The people of Permude and Yekkar villages (in the close proximity of Mangalore Airport) are a troubled lot these days and are reeling under the fear of losing their land. Despite the expert committee’s recommendation to the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MOEF), not to allow MSEZ Phase II to go through in the proposed 2,035 acres of land in Permude and Yekkar villages, KIADB/MSEZ in collusion with the district administration have been intentionally violating the law.

The local police are alleged to have hand in glove with KIADB/MSEZ authorities and misusing their powers. Ms. Vidya Dinker, Mr. Natesh Ullal and Mr. Raghu K., are a great source of support to the villagers to fight their lone battle against so called mighty goliaths KIADB/MSEZ. It is a handiwork of these mighty goliaths to discourage the anti MSEZ activists to silent the grieving villagers. It is an attack on peoples’ movement and hence, needs to be condemned. We all know the KIADB’s style of functioning.

If the activists are capable of giving life threat to Mr. Prabhulinga Kavalkatti, how come they allowed him to go to the police station and lodge a complaint?

KIAD Act is a draconian law & the KIADB is the epicenter of corruption and will fabricate records and forge signatures. When the lives and livelihoods are at stake KIADB officials cannot expect bouques from the affected especially when they are corrupt and not impartial
