Kundapur: Coordination between Parents, Teaches Students Need of Hour

Kundapur, Jul 14: A meeting of the Parents-Teachers' Association of Beary's Sea-Side Public School was recently held in the auditorium of Beary's Sea-Side English Medium School.

Haji Master Mohammed, president, Haji K Mohidin Beary Education trust, who presided over the meeting, appealed to the parents of the students to extend their fullest cooperation to the school management in their endeavours to achieve further progress of the institutions under the Trust. School correspondent Syed Mohammed Beary was present on the occasion. He stressed on the importance of a good rapport between teachers and the students and also the necessity on the part of the parents to show keen interest on the progress of their children. S Mali, vice-president of the Trust, reminded the students of their duty to always show respect to the elders. Tangappan, advisor to the governing council stated, “Home is the first school a child gets education in and the parents are its preliminary teachers.” Administrative director Dr G S Prabhakara Shetty said, “The coordination between the governing council, teachers and the parents is the sheet-anchor for the development of any educational body”.

Prof Flavia Rebello, Council advisor Abhishek, joint secretary Damodar, association member Vishwanath Acharya and Bindu Harish, head mistress of the primary school, were present on the occasion.

The programme began with a prayer. Teacher Susheela welcomed the gathering. Santhosh, another teacher, compered the programme.
