Mangalore: Youth from Bidar Drowns at Panambur Beach

Mangalore, Jul 14: A person named Laxman Manohar Londe (21), a native of Bidar who worked as book binding contractor at Alakananda Printers Baikampady here, drowned at Panambur beach on Sunday July 13. The youth had gone swimming in the sea, overlooking warnings given by the life guard posted at the beach.

Londe had gone to the beach along with a few of his friends. Another boy from the group was also drafted into the sea by a huge wave which hit the two friends, when they were trying to take bath near the breakwaters. The other youth however, survived, as another wave carried him to the shore.

Panambur police have registered a case in this regard.
