Udupi: Beggar Knocked Down to Death by Speeding Bus

Udupi, Jul 14: A pedestrian became the victim of reckless driving when the person, eking out a living by begging, was crushed by an express bus moving towards Mangalore at great speed in front of Yermal Lord Janardan temple at about 9.30 am on Mondya July 14.

The age of the beggar, who met a gory death on the spot, is estimated to be about 65 years. As no relatives claimed the mortal remains of the victim, the body was cremated later.

Padubidri police have registered a case in this regard.
