Udupi: Head-on Collision of Bus and Car - Two Critically Injured

Udupi, Jul 13: Two persons sustained serious injuries while three suffered minor injuries, in a head on collision between a tourist car and passenger bus, at Bobbarya temple, Muloor located on National Highway (NH) 17 here on Saturday July 13 morning.

 The tourist car with the 4 passengers including driver were on their pilgrimage to Sri Mookambika temple, Kollur from Trichur, in Kerala when it collided with a oncoming passenger bus which was en route from Sangli, in Maharastra to Mangalore, on Sunday early morning.



 The critically injured are identified as Joy Gangadharan (35) and his wife Seema (30).  The driver C K Nazir (35), toddlers Aditya and Ishan survived with minor injuries. 

Police sources informed that the tragedy might have occurred when either of one driver dozed off while on the wheel in the deserted NH. 

Kaup police have registered a case in this regard.
