Mangalore, Jul 7: The installation ceremony of the new president, Dr K Narendra Kamath and the office bearers of Rotary Club of city for the year 2008-09 was held on Thursday July 3. The programme was presided over by Dr S Sacchidanand, registrar (evaluation) of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The Governor of Rotary district 3180, K Krishna Shetty was also present.
Rotary International, world’s premier service organization, which has over 1.2 million members all over the world has already spent over US $ 650 millions on a relentless battle to eradicate polio from the face of this earth, has for the current year chosen the theme ‘Make Dreams Real’ and the Rotary International President from Korea, Rtn Dong Kum Lee has categorically stated that this year will lay full emphasis on child welfare.
