Udupi: Man Electrocuted near Katpady

Udupi, Jul 1: A 64-year-old man named Ganesh Shenoy from Posar in Katpady was electrocuted on Monday night. Shenoy was trying to remove a wire that had been tied to a coconut tree. The coconut tree had fallen to the ground and in the process, it had come into contact with a live wire.

When Shenoy tried to remove the wire, his condition became precarious after electricity passed through his body. Although he was immediately shifted to Udupi government hospital for treatment, he died in the night.
