Puttur: CRPF Constable Dies After Mistakenly Consuming Poison

Puttur, Jun 20: A Central Reserve Police Force constable is reported to have died on Thursday June 19, after consuming poisonous substance, thinking that it to be a medicine.

The deceased has been identified as Subrahmanya (35),son of Shantappa Nayak from Anantadi village in Bantwal. He had been living in a house belonging to his elder sister at Saptagiri Lay Out in Puttur Padil near here. It is gathered, that he consumed some substance thinking it to be a medicine and died later. His wife reportedly was not at home then. A case has been registered in Puttur town police station.
