Bantwal: Woman Electrocuted at Kolthamajal

Bantwal, Jun 20: A woman who came into contact with a live wire lying on the ground at Kolathamajal Site of Badabellur village, died on the spot on Thursday, June 19.

Meenakshi (45), wife of the late Anand Poojari was going to a hillock near her house in the morning when the incident happened. She did not notice a live wire lying on the ground and stamped it accidentally. Sources said that the wire had been grounded owing to heavy rains and wind on the previous night.

Bantwal Rural police have registered a case. Mescom officials visited the spot and took necessary measures.
