Puttur, Jun 19: In a tragic accident that occured at Addahole bend on the national highway 48 near Uppinangadi on Wednesday evening, a ore laden truck hit a car, resulting the death of two people. Two other occupants of the car who sustained grievous injuries, were admitted to a hospital in Mangalore.
The front portion of the car was badly mangled in the incident. The deceased have been identified as Satyanarayan(60) and Ambarish, both from Kasargod Bayar. The injured are Pavan(24) and Prafulla(48) from the same village. The family, residing in Bangalore now, was returning after participating in a function at their native place, Bayar.
Uppinangadi police have registered a case.
