Karkala, Jun 18: ICYM Belman organized a one-day cricket tournament in memory of the late Avinash on Sunday June 15 at Belman junior college grounds.
The tournament was inaugurated by assistant parish priest Fr Roque, Fr Rajesh, sponsor Anil Vas. ICYM president George D'Souza welcomed the gathering while Milton proposed vote of thanks.
Winners - Shirva team
Runners-up - Moodbelle team
A total of 24 teams including the teams from Kolalgiri, Hospet, Barkur, Ferar along with teams from neighbouring parishes participated in the tournament.
Shirva ICYM team emerged winners while Moodbelle team had to contend for the second place. Belman parish priest gave away the trophies to the winners. Sports secretary of ICYM Belman organized the event with the help of ICYM members.
