Udupi, Jun 15 : There was no let up in the intensity of rain in Udupi district. A girl named Arpitha(13) was electrocuted at Kalathoor in Hebri in the district on Saturday,June 14. The girl was standing near a coconut tree when lightening struck the tree. A case has beenregistered.

Several houses were damagd in the rains and many trees got uprooted. Houses of Fathima B, Vanaja Poojary, Gopal Naika and Anand Naik in Matadabettu and Nadpal villages of Hebri were damaged due to rain.
