Beltangady: Two Buses Collide near Ujire, 21 Injured

Beltangady, Jun 5: As many as 21 persons were injured in an accident that occured near Ujire on Wednesday June 4, in which two buses were involved in a head-on collision. While one bus belonged to KSRTC the other was owned by Prasanna Education Trust.

It is said that the government bus, in an attempt to overtake an autorickshaw, hit the auto before heading to hit the oncoming bus. Passengers from both buses were injured, and the driver of the private bus was seriously injured and shifted to a hospital in Mangalore. Majority of the injured were from the bus of the education trust.

A case has been registered at Beltangady police station in this regard.
