Mangalore: Panel Set up to Probe Malpractices in Colleges

Mangalore, Jun 5: Deputy Commissioner M. Maheshwar Rao has constituted a 13-member committee to probe allegations of malpractices in colleges.

People can assist the team by providing information on how they have fallen prey to malpractices. The office of the Deputy Commissioner can be approached in this regard as he is the ex-officio chairman of the District Education Regulating Authority.

To know exactly how much fee a certain college can charge or to know details such as the last date for submission of forms, you can obtain copies of the amended regulations of the Karnataka State Pre-University Board from the office of the Deputy Director of Pre-University Education in the Mangalore City Corporation building at Lalbagh. The Deputy Director can also be approached for grievances.

If any one has personally experienced harassment at the hands of college officials, a complaint can also be lodged with the Commissioner of Pre-University Education Department, 18th Cross Road, Sampige Road, Malleswaram, Bangalore-12.

People can also approach the Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement or the Lokayukta for registration of complaints.
