Mangalore, Jun 4: City corporation commissioner P K Subbaiah informed that a junior engineer will be suspended and an assistant executive engineer will be served with show cause notice, relating to preparation of fake bills for non-existent works.

Already two engineers of the city corporation are under suspension for similar activities. It is learnt that junior engineer Arun and assistant executive engineer Linge Gowda are facing the wrath of the commissioner this time, for preparing wrong bills for works relating to providing drains and granite slab covering thereof for the road leading from Kottara Chowki to Kottara. 

It is alleged that these two officials tried to swindle money by making bills for a discarded estimate, by making attempts to convince the concerned that the related works have been executed. On inspection, the commissioner found out the foul play. It is also learnt that these officials were in no way related with the said work.
