Mangalore: Dr Tom Oommen of KMC Passes Away

Mangalore, Jun 3: Dr Oommen (53), son of the late Samuel Oommen Elim Coonoor, passed away at his residence at Vas Lane here on Sunday June 1.

Dr Oommen was the professor of pharmacology and had worked in KMC Manipal as well as in many other medical colleges. He is known for his non-invasive therapy for occlusive vascular diseases.

He was a prolific writer and has written many books. He has presented various papers in both national and international-level journals.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday June 3. He is survived by wife, a daughter and two sons.
