Kundapur: Hearty Farewell Accorded to Fr Antony Lobo

Kundapur, Jun 2: The board of directors of Rosary Cooperative Society here organized a function to bid farewell to Fr Antony Lobo with a grand felicitation.

Fr Antony has been transferred to Suratkal church. He was serving as the honorary adviser to Rosary Society for the last three years.

During the function, vice-president of Rosary Society Vinay Pais thanked Fr Lobo for finding a suitable plot and constructing a building for the society during his tenure. In recognition of his selfless services, the president of the society honoured him with a memento. The programme was presided over by A J Buttello, president of the society.

Henry Dias, former vice-president and Cypriyan Menezes, director, praised Fr Antony Lobo for his services. Society secretary Pascal D'Souza recited a farewell song penned by him. Directors Roque John Caravello and Joseph Fernandes were present on the dais.

Fr Lobo thanked the board of directors and the staff of the Rosary co-operative society for their co-operation and requested them to continue to extend the same to his successors in the days to come. Director Felix D'Silva proposed the vote of thanks.
