Mangalore: Man Dies as Lorry Rolls into Gorge at Kaikamba

Mangalore, May 31: A person lost his life when a  stone laden lorry rolled into a gorge at Paddayipadavu near Kandavar (Kaikamba, Ganjimatt) on Saturday, May 31.



The deceased person has been identified as Muttagowda (25), a resident of Dharwad district. The incident occurred while the lorry was plying at Kandavar after loading laterite stones at Ganjimath. The lorry rolled into a gorge when the driver lost control of his vehicle and Muttagowda, who was traveling in the same lorry died on the spot.

Driver Shekabba, other labourers Gopal, Surendra and Nemiraj who were also traveling together suffered severe  injuries and have been admitted to a hospital in the city. Bajpe police have registered a case.
