Mangalore: SAC Records Impressive Results in Second Sem Exams

Mangalore, May 22: City's St Aloysius College has recorded an overall pass percentage of 82.93 in the second semester of its six bachelor's degree courses. Out of 873 students who appeared for the examinations, 724 have passed. The college principal said that the students are getting accustomed to the autonomous system.

Under BA degree course, the pass percentage is 78.63; in BSW 84.38; in BCom 85.26; in BBM 85.62; in BSc 78.79 and in BCA -92.06 percent, a press release stated. As many as 313 students have secured first class with distinction, while 240 achieved first class, 98 high second class and 56 passed with second class.

Quoting results that show impressive performance in the second semester,  the release stated that the college achieved 73.90 percent results in the I semester.

The examination system has been completely computerized. Comprehensive software has been developed and computerization has helped valuation, tabulation, declaration of results and printing of marks cards within fifteen days of holding the examination. For both under graduate and post graduate courses, the syllabi have been restuctured, the release added.
