Kundapur: Former MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty Injured in Accident

Kundapur, May 19: Former local MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty was injured in a collision between Armada and tempo, at Jannady near Bittalkatte, on National Highway 17, at 4.15 pm on Monday May 19.
 
Halady Srinivas Shetty was travelling with Armada driver Shekar Mogaveer and zilla panchayat president Geetha Nayak when the marauding tempo rammed the Armada, seriously injuring the former MLA and extensively damaging their vehicle. 

He was at once taken to Chinmaya Hospital here, where he was offered first aid and later taken to Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Hospital at Manipal for treatment. Shekar Mogaveer, zilla panchayat president Geetha Nayak, the tempo driver and the cleaner, escaped with minor injuries. 
 
Kundapura town police have registered a case in this regard.
