Mangalore May 19: Litterateur Anantharam Rao devoted his life for the welfare of the society, said Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.
He was delivering a benedictory address at Sanganikethan at a programme organized to pay tribute to senior litterateur K Anantharama Rao who passed away recently.
Remembering the litterateur, he said that, Anantharama Rao was a theist and led a life of principles and imparted values to the society.
Addressing the gathering former MLA N Yogish Bhat recalled that it was Anantharam who inspired him get in to the politics.
Veteran yakshagana artiste Kumble Sundar Rao,Erya Lakshminarayana Alva , Dr Shantharam Shetty, M B Puranik, Kannada Sahitya Parisat district president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and others were present on the occasion.
