Mangalore: 'Konkani Nirantari' Leaders Felicitated at Parish Day Celebration in Valencia

Mangalore, May 11: St Vincent Ferrer Church , Valencia, celebrated its 73rd parish day at the church premises on Sunday, May 11 evening.

Dr Paul Aquinhas, dean of Aloysius Institution of Business Administration (AIBA) was the chief guest of the occasion. In his address to the parishioners, he said that the  parish community is an extended community. Selfless service is needed to strengthen the foundation of this community, he opined.

Eric Ozario, Louis Pinto and Arunraj Rodrigues of Mandd Sobhan, who led the 'Konkani Nirantari' to achieve a berth in the Guinness Book of World Records and Monthu Lobo, an auto rickshaw driver, who has driven his
autorickshaw for 48 years without any accident ,were felicitated on the occasion.


Fr Maxim Rosario, assistant parish priest and Flavia Sequeira, secretary of parish council were present on the dais.

Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, parish priest of the church, welcomed the gathering. Arunraj Rodrigues proposed the vote of thanks. Asha compered the programme.

'Sunkuddo,' Konkani comedy drama, written and directed by Nellu Permannur was staged after the formal function.
