Mangalore, May 3: 'BJP has cheated the nation by not building Ram Mandir and demolishing Babri Masjid at Ayodhya' said Janardhan Poojary, former president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) and Rajya Sabha member.

Speaking to media persons in the city on Saturday May 3, he said that businessmen across the nation with BJP patronage are responsible for spiralling inflatio. They are creating artificial inflation by hoarding the fast moving consumer goods and groceries against the ethics of trade, he alleged.

The country had witnessed nearly 20 percent of inflation in 1977. Now it is just 7.5 percent. Meanwhile, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken steps to control inflation by increasing the Cash Reserve Ration (CRR), he informed.

Union minister Oscar Fernandes told the media persons that all the rebel candidates in the undivided Dakshina Kannada (DK) have been urged to work for the victory of Congress candidates shunning any differences among the party workers.

Congress would be confident of coming back to the helm of affairs in the state. The party anticipates favourable poll results in Kodagu, undivided Dakshina Kannada and Karwar districts, he said.

Later, Oscar participated in the party workers’ meet held at Mangalore South election campaign office premises. Former MP Vinaykumar Sorake, Mangalore South Congress candidate Ivan D’Souza, Congress north block president Suresh Ballal, Udupi district Congress committee president M A Gafoor and others were present on the occasion.

Why do these politicians blame each other during these elections. They should be doing things that can improve our country rather than fighting each other. Wake up voters, don't fall prey to these politicians. Vote to the right candidate whom u think will work for the people.

Mr. J. Poojary is right. All the rich traders are resposible for the price rise. Congress is sincerely trying to bring down the prices. I remember when Mr. Indira Gandhi was in power, they did the same thing to defeat her Govt. Again BJP is doing the same thing with the support of the dishonest traders. As far as Ram Temple in concerned, BJP fooled the Hindus. But these things they can not do it for ever. Congress will surely win in Karnataka. We call upon all the voters to cast their valuable vote in favour of Congress. Jai Hind.
