Mangalore, Apr 30: District administration, zilla panchayat, health and family welfare department and District Wenlock Hospital jointly observed 'World Health Day April - 2008' at Wenlock Hospital here on Wednesday April 30.
District commissioner M Maheshwara Rao inaugurated the function. A M Kunjappa, chief executive officer, Dakshina Kannada, zilla panchayat presided over the function.
On the occasion Santhosh Sanjeeva, planning officer, UEVRP district calamity managing unit, gave a talk on the topic 'Natural Calamity and Adverse Effects'.
Dr Jagannath H, district health and family welfare officer, Dr Prabhudev, district surgeon and inspector of the hospital was present on the occasion.
