Udupi, Apr 29: A fish-laden mini-truck overturned after hitting an auto rickshaw on National Highway (NH) 17, near Padubidri here on Tuesday April 29 morning.
The mishap occurred in front of Mayur Dhaba, located close to NH 17 near Bada Yermal. The entire stock of fish was strewn all over the national highway, much to the delight of the fish lovers.
Traffic on either side of NH was hindered for an hour causing traffic bottleneck for almost 2 kilometres. Meanwhile a recklessly driven lorry invited the wrath of the locals after it ran amok among the public having pulled away electric cables.
The traffic police assisted by locals cleared the fish stock and managed to restore the traffic.
