Udupi: U R Sabhapati Urges Youth to Take Lead

Udupi, Apr 26: The Block Congress activists' convention was held at Kidiyur Hotel Auditorim on Saturday, April 26 evening.

Former MLA U R Sabhapati inaugurated this convention. Speaking on the occasion, Sabhapati said that the youth  comprise of  42% of the voters in India. Therefore, leadership should be given to the youth community, he urged.






He said that defeating  the BJP is the prime objective of Congress leaders in Udupi. He therefore sacrificed the seat to the youngster , Pramod Madhvaraj. All should work collectively to defeat  the BJP in Udupi constituency, he said.

Earlier, JD (S) and Samajavadi party leaders and BJP Taluk Panchayat member Ramesh joined the Congress.

Former state minister Vasant V Salian, KPCC vice-president Pratapchandra Shetty, district Congress president M A Gafoor, KPCC member Manjunath Udyavar, Dinesh Putran, district Congress vice-president Krishnaraj Saralaya, Divakar Kundar, Irene Menezes, Veronica Carnelio, Sarala Kanchan and others were present at the convention.

    I agree with Ranjit. If Congress High command does not note the need for young, voters will reject the junk. Lalaji will win once again. Congress is helping the BJP !

    I agree Mr Sabapahitis encouragement towards young qualified leaders for our coastal area's development concerned, but how about Kaup and oher constituency? I don't understand why Congress high command still gives seat to vasanth salian and other old useless congress candidates.. ???

    After all we are the youth and youth should be given the ticket to learn the economy and development of the region.. In this election all youth should think twice while electing any MLA for their area,…. .
