Kundapur, Apr 26: Former Brahmavar MLA and ex-minister K Jayaprakash Hegde filed his nomination as Congress candidate here on Friday April 25. He submitted his nomination papers to deputy election officer K Ramesh.
On his occasion K Gopal Poojary, the former Congress MLA also filed his nomination for Byndoor assembly constituency. Now both the candidates have started their canvassing with their supporters, Hegde started his campaign by visiting Kundeshwar and Venkataramana temple, Holy Rosary Church and a local mosque and offered prayers.
Many Congress leaders and party workers were present on this occasion.
