Speaking to media persons after filing the nomination, Maroli expressed confidence of winning the elections and opined that delimitation of constituencies will help CPI (M) this time as commendable number of labour class is added in the newly-formed Mangalore South constituency, which is favourable for the party.

“Our direct contender is no other than BJP. Because, Congress has lost hope owing to dissident leaders within the party. Meanwhile, Muslims will reject both Congress and BJP due to communal tensions created by them in the last few years. Therefore, CPI (M) has all the chances to win Mangalore South constituency” he opined.
