M'lore: Brahma Kumaris to Plant One Crore Saplings across Nation

Mangalore, Apr 24: A noteworthy project will soon be launched under which all Brahma Kumaris would develop plantations in their residential premises with a view to controlling global warming. This laudatory initiative is the brainchild of Mount Abu-based Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya who has plans to plant over one crore saplings across the country by December 2008 under their project 'Green the Earth'.

This information was furnished to press persons here on Wednesday April 23, on the eve of the launching of the organization’s annual theme “Experiencing God’s Power.” The Vishwa Vidyalaya education wing vice-chairman Brahma Kumar Mruthyunjaya informed that the project would be launched in June 8, according to which all Brahma Kumaris would plant the saplings.

In addition to this project, the varsity is also going to set in motion another project worldwide called ‘Clean the Mind.’ Accordingly programmes will be conducted with the view to reducing tension among people. Moreover, various self-empowerment programmes will be undertaken in about 18,000 colleges and one lac schools.  

The basic objective of this is to assist in developing human values among the younger generation, detailed the chairman Mruthyunjaya. Furthermore, he stated that a programme entitled “Touch the Light” will be conducted aiming at enhancing spiritual power among the younger ones. In all around one lac school children will be targeted by the organization, he added.

Dadi Hridaya Mohiniji, the organization additional administrative head has arrived in the city on Wednesday April 23 who would be launching this year’s theme “Experiencing God’s Power” at the Brahma Kumaris Vishwa Shanthi Mandir in Urwa Store on April 24, informed Brahma Kumar Karunaji, media coordinator of Vishwa Vidyalaya.

According to Karunaji, Dadi Hridaya Mohiniji has already presented the said theme in Calicut and Kannur. She was launching it in the State for the first time. He added that Dadi would advise troubled people to resort to meditation in order to find solutions to various problems faced by them.
