Mangalore: Voter ID Cards Drive - Apr 30 Deadline for City

Mangalore, Apr 21: As per the directives by the Election Commission, the district administration has taken up distribution of providing voters' identity cards in assembly constituencies on specified dates in the district.

Electorates of Belthangady, Bantwal, Mangalore, Puttur and Sulia can approach the authority concerned in this regard before April 26, April 28, April 30, May 7 and April 24 respectively.

It must be noted that only voter identity cards will be issued to voters who have not obtained voter ID and no duplicate ID will be issued if one has lost the ID.

The election commission has also instructed that those who do not have voter ID can cast vote after furnishing relevant documents which have been specified by the election commission at polling stations.

Further details can be had by contacting village accountant, secretaries or officials concerned at the taluk office and office of the deputy commissioner, stated a press release.
