Udupi: P V Daitota Conferred Janapada Vaidya Siri Award

Udupi, Apr 18: Janapada Vaidya Siri award was conferred on Paanaje Venkataramana Daitota, a traditional medicine practitioner, at Bava Prakasha Auditorium of SDM College of Ayurveda at Kuthpady near here on Thursday April 17.

'No one should ever think that all ailments can be cured with general medicine. One should develop a good food habit to be healthy,' Daitota said after receiving the award.

The award was conferred by Prasad U N, principal of the college. Dr Sridhar Holla, director of Mitra Hospital was the chief guest. Office-bearers of the college's student council, writer Dr Na Moghasale and others were present on the occasion.

    Paanaje Vekataramana Daitota, an Engineer graduate became a most respected Vaidya in the same lines as his father. He served n number of patients free of charges at his home and today if somebody hounered him, it is equal to honoring ourselves. I bow to Sri Venkataramana Daitota for his selfless service to man kind. His respected wife Mrs Jayalaxmi too deserves honour in the same lines.
