Udupi, Apr 18: Puthige Mutt is all set to launch a campaign to induct measures and create awareness among public regarding cleanliness and hygiene in and around Udupi by organising "Sundara Sene" based on the theme "Sundara Udupi Srikrishna Udupi" which is being inaugurated on April 20. 

Addressing media persons here on Thursday, Puthige Mutt Seer Sri Sugunendratheertha Swami informed that the plans to involve measures and to carry out them to make Udupi a pollution free city will be the process with many phases. Temple surroundings and Car Street will be included in the first phase.

He also informed that entire Krishna Temple will be renovated introducing many facilities to devotees. The temple will be air conditioned and a hall, where 1,000 devotees can be served food, will be constructed. CCTV arrangements have been made with installing cameras at 27 places inside the temple. The number of security guards has been increased to ensure the security of the temple, the Puthige seer added.
