Mangalore: Artists to Depict Ills of Addiction through Paintings

Mangalore, Apr 17: Janajagruthi Vedike will organize 'Varna Jagruthi', a programme to create awareness on the adverse impact of addiction to liquor and drugs on Sunday April 20 at SDM Law College here.

Mohammad Ismail, advocate and president of the forum, informed media persons here on Thursday April 17 that artists will convey messages of de-addiction and adverse effects of addiction through paintings, he added.

The programme will be inaugurated by Ganesh Rao S, founder chairman of Karavali Colleges and Dr K Balaveera Reddy, retired VC, Visvesvaraya Technological University will preside over the programme. Sameer Shukla, assistant commissioner and others will be the chief guests, he added.

Among those present was Putrushothama P K, member of the forum.
