Udupi: Two-day Manipal Media Students' Convention from Apr 18

For the first time in the township of Manipal, a two-day Manipal Media Students’ Convention - 2008 (MMSC-08) will be organized on April 18 and 19 by the students of Manipal Institute of Communication.

It was announced in a press release issued by MIC on Wednesday April 16. The press release further stated that the main objective behind MMSC is to bring together on one common platform media professionals and students from different parts of the country.  

The theme of the convention will be “Communication through World-Wide Web” and it will include workshops, discussions, conferences, open talks, and paper presentations. As part of the event a “Bloggers’ Meet” will also arranged, as well.  

In this meet bloggers from Manipal will converge together and hold discussions and debates on various aspects of blogging including content and design.  

Important dignitaries expected to participate in the convention include the regional director of Doordarshan Mukesh Sharma, communication consultant and columnist Peter Griffin, writer and literary critic Chandrahas Choudhury, journalist and blogger Annie Zaidi and many other experts from varied fields.
