Odisha CM urges for transformation in people's lives


Bhubaneswar, Jun 13 (IANS): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday asked district collectors to follow the "three Ts formula" of governance, which would lead to another T - Transformation in people's lives.

"The whole purpose of this continuous exercise is that three Ts of Transparency, Teamwork and Technology must lead to the fourth T that is transformation in the lives of people," said Patnaik while addressing the concluding ceremony of the three-day collectors' workshop here.

He also encouraged them to take bold decisions.

"Take bold decisions. Any bold decision taken for people centric governance will have my full support," the Chief Minister said.

Maintaining that his government has zero tolerance towards corruption in all spheres of public life, he said: "In our resolve to fight corruption and to ensure last mile delivery, we have put in place transparent structures and processes in functioning of the government."

He said Odisha registered a 60 per cent success rate in construction of pucca houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated six districts -- Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Ganjam -- for pucca house construction in the last financial year.
