Centre won't impose restrictions on one's food choices: Rajnath on cattle sale ban

Aizawl, Jun 13 (PTI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said the Centre will not impose any restrictions on people's choice of food.

Responding to a question on a protest by locals against the central governments ban on sale of cattle for slaughter at animal markets, Singh said there should be no restriction on one's choice of food.

He made the remarks while addressing a press conference after chairing the first meeting of the chief ministers of four northeastern states bordering Myanmar.

Singh said the Ministry of Home Affairs will extend security-related expenditure to Mizoram, which is sandwiched between Myanmar and Bangladesh.

He added that the Ministry of External Affairs will formulate a policy on the free movement regime between Mizoram and Myanmar.

Hundreds of people in Aizawl participated in the "beef ban bashing banquet" organised by a local group on Monday to protest the Centre's ban on sale of cattle for slaughter at animal markets.

Yesterday there was debate on TimesNow on Sandeep Dixit’s comment against Army Chief. The anchor’s question was “Why Rahul Gandhi apologized after 12 hours of statement”!

These Bhakth channels are so ridiculous!!!

Rahul Gandhi apologized, that is not enough for them, they count apology gap from the incident time also, when it comes to Congress!

Also anchor asked, “Why Sandeep Dixit has not been removed from party?”

They never demanded BJP to “Kick out” Sabmit Partra, Giriraja, Seksi Maharaj, Sangeeth som, Uma Bharati, Smriti Iranian etc leaders from party for their idiotic statements!

BJP’s membership will be 90 percent less, if they start removing their members for their ‘mindless comments/statements’. Every minute one or the other guy talks nonsense!!!

is this true ?? Eating meat was a very common practise in India until jainism started propogating vegetarnisim and was gaining huge popularity and spreading faster .

People were happy to sacrifice kumbala kayi rather then cow or sheep which was very precious and pricey at that point of time and only assest people had !!!!

So this may just be a cooked up story !!!

When you ban cattle slaughter, how can people have their own choice of food. Beef is called as " Poor man's Mutton" it is a general saying & many people have no choice but to depend on this meat. Then why ban on this.
Killing cattle can invite sever punishment even land you in prison. But if a human being is killed, it is over looked. Rape accused are protected, where as victims are being blamed.

I have a request to all our leaders, please protect women of our country, please protect our basic rights. Stop keeping a watch/vigilance on what people eat, what people wear, where people go n with whom they go. All these things never mattered when we were younger. Why now? Why should we be called a Hindu nation, while we are all Indians. Please concentrate on development and change mind set. Stop being hypocrites.

SOME OF THE SIGNS RELATED TO THE END OF TIMES ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC SOURCES

    1. Murder will be considered a minor act.
    2. The murder victim will not know why he is murdered and the killer will not know why he killed.
    3. Bribery will become like a custom.
    4. Murder will increase.
    5. Fools will be made rulers.
    6. Ministers of government will be liars.
    7. A liar will be considered an acceptable witness.
    8. Good people will keep silent fearing others' foul speech
    9. Goodness and evil will be viewed from the same perspective.
    10. Unworthy persons will meddle in affairs of state.
    11. Government will be entrusted to those unworthy of it.

    Dear Rajnath,

Why then the Sale of Cattle in the Market to slaughtering people.

Remove Ban on Cattle Sale to Slaughter Houses immediately if you have no impositions or restrictions on one's food choices.

Also direct all your BJP ruled states to remove cattle slaughter ban.

YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO PEEP INTO MY KITCHEN'S FRIDGE AND NO RIGHT TO SEE WHAT IS IN MY PLATE.

WHY THESE COW VIGILANTES ARE ROAMING IN AND AROUND. HAVE YOU APPOINTED THEM???!!!
