Mangalore: St Aloysius College to Introduce MA in English Literature

Mangalore, Apr 12: City's St Aloysius College (SAC) will begin MA programme in English Literature and Communication from the academic year 2008-09.

The course will be credit-based semester system, said Prof Lourdusamy, HOD of English of St Aloysius College speaking to Daijiworld.

The programme is of two years duration. The classes will be held from Monday to Friday and  guest faculty will be invited on Saturdays to deliver lectures in order to help students to develop expertise in various topics, he added.

Taking up MA programme in the institution will definitely be an informed choice as the institution will offer campus recruitment to its students and moreover mandatory internship in media and corporate houses will facilitate students to get hands-on experience in journalism and the corporate world, a faculty member of the department informed.

When asked about the eligibility, the HOD briefed candidates who have passed the three year BA, BSc, BCom and BSW degree examinations are eligible to apply.

    I have done my B.A,in English Literature in the year 1993.I would like to know is it possible for me to do MA in English Literature from your institution? Is there any age limit?
