Two Delhi teenagers drown in Yamuna


New Delhi, Jun 7 (IANS): Two teenagers drowned while bathing in the Yamuna river here on Wednesday, police said.

Himanshu Singh, 13, and Manish Kumar, 14, from Pradhan Enclave in Burari had gone for a morning walk with two other friends along the river.

A police officer told IANS that the two boys decided to take a dip in the river.

"(Himanshu) slipped while bathing and fell into the deep side of the river. Manish tried to save him and both drowned. The other two then called the locals and the police were informed," the officer said.
