M'lore: Convention to Address Problems Faced by Women

Mangalore, Apr 9: Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), women forums and other like-minded organizations will stage rally and hold a convention here to highlight the problems faced by women on Thursday April 10.

The rally will be taken out from Lighthouse and will culminate at Police Grounds, Vasudev Boloor, secretary of Coastal Karnataka Fishermen Action Committee informed.

The authority concerned will be pressed to appoint gender-sensitive officer and enforce law and lay out stern norms to register scanning centers working in the district in order to tackle the growing gender ratio imbalance and reduce violence on women in the district.
