Mangalore: Students Donate Rs 5,000 to Preserve Giant Squirrel

Mangalore, Apr 7: Members of eco club of Puttur Sudhana High School have donated Rs 5,000  to  Pilikula Nisargadhama for maitaining the Indian giant squirrel.

The amount was given to Dr K V Rao, training director of Pilikula Nisargadhama by eco club training director Vihar Joshi. Speaking on the occasion he lauded the students for their gesture and encouraged them to continue to do such humanitarian work.

He added that the work done by Nisargadhama to protect endangered animal of Western Ghat is highly appreciable. The eco club is planning to organize an awareness programme on endangered species of animal of Western Ghats soon.
